Thank you Mom and Dad for planning this trip, putting up with us when the moods were low, and creating memories that will last a lifetime!
We spent the first week in March at Disneyworld with my parents, Allie, Jarrett, Kaila, Mia and Jarrett's parent's, Tom and Carol. It was "magical!" Here are some of the highlights and best quotes of the trip that stick out in my mind:
- "Does anyone want to see my toes?" - Kaila, loudly and randomly, on the bus to Disney.
- "I was built for action!" - Owen, searching for river pirates on Tom Sawyer's Island
- Allie and my Dad riding Expedition Everest together
- Ben and Owen riding Expedition Everest together (Owen's first real roller coaster). Ben had Owen convinced while in line that the "Yeti" was real and might be in the mountain. Owen was super excited, until the ride started...and then when we came to the part where the "Yeti ate the tracks" (as Ben told him), he wanted off and cried the rest of the way. However, if you ask him what his favorite ride was, he will tell you this was it. Here they are before the ride started:
- Dancing with Allie, Kaila and Owen in the Rainforest Cafe
- "Let's go watch it on TV" - Mia, who doesn't like loud noises, while watching the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom
- The "Dinosaur" Ride. This picture should explain enough.
- "No." - Owen's answer to Crush, the sea turtle, when he was called on and asked if he was having a good day.
- "Don't be sad Owen....." - Crush's last words as he swam away from the crowd.
- Owen feeling pretty cool in his light up mohawk
- A stormtrooper catching Owen by surprise.
- Kaila being fealess and riding every ride - even Tower of Terror (the only one she says she wouldn't want to ride again...I'm with her on that)
- Sydney not moving a muscle or changing her expression in the slighest during the entire 30 minute long Beauty and the Beast production. She was truly mesmerized.
It was a fabulous trip!!
