Whenever Owen is engaged in some sort of activity - painting, coloring, doing kartwheels in the family room, etc. - he LOVES to have me explain to Sydney exactly what he is doing. He seems to get filled with pride when he's doing something that only big boys can do, and has to make sure Sydney is aware of that. For example:
O: Next, I'm going to do the biggest kartwheel you ever saw!
Me: Wow, let's see it!
O: Tell Sydney
Me: (to Sydney, who is obviously oblivious) Sydney, watch this, your brother is going to do the biggest kartwheel you ever saw!!! (all sorts of exaggeration thrown in for good measure)
Owen then gets a huge grin on his face and does the kartwheel
O: Ask Sydney if she saw
etc, etc, etc...
