Art!

We hit a big developmental milestone today...Owen drew his first ever smiley face! Actually, make that somewhere on the order of 80 smiley faces. Once he discovered that he could do it, he didn't want to stop. Here is how our conversation went:

O: (Draws a smiley face) How many is that?
Me: thirty-two
O: Whoooooaa, that's alot!
O: (Draws another smiley face) How many is that now?
Me: thirty-three
0: Whooooaaa, that's alot!

and on and on and on. We seriously repeated this conversation until I counted to 80 (We started somewhere around 30). He was very proud of his faces! It's like the world of art has opened up for him as he's realized that he can actually draw things that represent the world. I know it's just a smiley face, but you have to start somewhere! :)
