I'm getting behind in my posting, but I wanted to share a few pictures from our Valentine's Day. We woke up that morning and made heart shaped pancakes, which were a big hit. Another big hit was the little magnifying glass that Nana (Rhonda) mailed to Owen for Valentine's day. He went all over the house looking at things through the glass, and now he keeps it up in his bed so that when we read stories before bedtime, he can inspect all the pages.
This past Friday was my Dad's birthday. He happened to have a conference here in St. Louis that day, so my Mom joined him and they booked a hotel room for the night. They invited us to stay in the hotel with them so we could all spend some extra quality time together, and it was great! (Thanks again!) Owen LOVED the hotel. He got to go swimming with Daddy, share some popcorn with my Mom, ride a dolphin on a carousel (this was at the mall across the street from the hotel), take a bath in the hotel tub, and even watch a little TV while lying in bed at the same time - what a treat (really, he was very excited by this concept for whatever reason)! We went out for breakfast in the morning and had what Owen called "fancy pancakes". Even though we were here in St. Louis, it was fun and felt like a little mini-vacation. It was great to be with my Dad on his birthday as well.
