We had a wonderful Christmas this year, our first as a family of four! We had planned to spend Christmas with my parents, but unfortunately my Mom was sick with pneumonia (fully recovered now, thank goodness!) and they couldn't make it. We had a cozy Christmas Eve at home with just the four of us and then spent much of Christmas Day over at Rick and Rhonda's, who graciously opened their doors to us after our plans changed at the last minute. Owen was really excited about Christmas this year and it was fun to experience the magic of it all through his eyes. I'm still working on getting him to understand that it's not all about him ("which present is mine? When is it my turn to open?") and that giving is more important than what you get, but I think most of that is lost on the average 3 year old, when faced with shiny boxes with bows! I LOVE the last three pictures. . . Simon is SO proud of his bone, Ben is hilarious playing swords with Owen and Sydney is so cute as "Santa Baby!"
